Learning Styles will show you how you can become the boss of your own life, both at school and out of school.
Based on a True Story 1
- 13-year old Max doesn’t see the point of doing his homework.
- His father takes away Max’s TV privileges until homework is done (a seemingly logical consequence for not doing homework).
- Max gets so angry he vows never to do homework again.
- A few days later, his father promises him a treat for every day Max does his homework without a battle.....
Based on a True Story 2
- 13-year old Albert doesn’t see the point of doing his homework.
- His father schedules an appointment with him to discuss the matter like adults.
- During the talk, the father delegates the responsibility for homework to Albert. He tells his son there will be no consequences at home and asks him to think about the consequences at school and later on in life.
- Together, they draw up a Homework Schedule.
- Albert decides to stick to the Homework Schedule for his own good.
- Of course, it helped that Albert’s Learning Style allowed him to take responsibility for his own life.
